Most liquid soaps and ALL bar soaps are sodium-based, which can lead to a buildup of salt in the soil over time when used in grey water for garden irrigation. So you might be unintentionally watering your garden with salty water!
In contrast, we make our soap with potassium which optimises your grey water; the potassium acts as a nutrient rather than a contaminant when the soap breaks down in your garden.

About EcoLumo
I'm Kati and I'm from the Artic Circle in Finland. I put a bit of Finland into naming my soap: the word 'Lumo' is Finnish for 'Charm & Enchantment' . I find nature everywhere in the world to have a special magical charm so I found it nice to bring a bit of that whimsical spirit into my Australian product.
After a decade of making soap for my personal use I'm excited to have created something that I think is beneficial to grey water irrigation systems. I'm proud that the ingredients are local as well as good for both you and your garden.
